Rwanda registers 2 more COVID-19 deaths, 36 new cases

The statement released last night shows that 36 people have caught the virus out of 6720 sample tests, two are critically ill while the positivity rate stands at 0.5%.

The majority of new cases were found in Ngororero district: 12, Nyamasheke: 5 and Muhanga: 3.

A total of 1,750,084 people have been fully vaccinated while 3,529,117 received the first dose of COVID-19 since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
