This was said by the Vice Mayor Habyarimana Marcel during a meeting with residents of four sectors held November 27.
He said the District will collaborate with PEAMER project to ensure that residents have access to safe water facilities supported by a comprehensive hygiene promotion among them.
PEAMER supported the initiative with Frw 648 Million that will be used while creating a water channel linking Mashesha village and Gashyuha.
The supply length will have 38 km.
In Rusizi district, a jerrycan of water costs frw50 but it takes many hours to fetch the water.
