Mukasine appointed Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission

On May 8, 2020, Nirere handed over office to former Vice President of the Commission Silas Sinyigaya, after serving her term.

Mukasine has held various positions including Senator and has been the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure.

She has also served as General Manager of, Sonarwa and an advocate in various government agencies.

Mukasine also worked for Civil Society as a member of the Women’s and Child Rights Movement, Haguruka, which she chaired between 1994-1996.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Law.
