3 Sectors in Nyamashe Given Computers for Data Collection

Rwanda National Institute of Statistics has donated three computers to three sectors in Nyamasheke District in order to scale up statistical services within the area.

Nyamasheke has 15 sectors. Those that received computers include Bushekeri, Macuba and Karambi.

Data that will be collected is relevant to social affairs, Education, Health and agriculture statistics.

The Director of census at National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda, Safari Willy has said delivering timely statistical information is still a challenge in some parts of the country.

He added that statistics help Government in its planning.
Beneficiaries noted that the computers will help them in providing well collected and timely data.

Nkerabigwi Yohani of Kirambi Sector said he is going to shift from traditional way of compiling data noting he used to utilize notebooks.
