In a message by RIB via Twitter on Friday, it was announced that the suspects were arrested in Kamonyi District as they were sending messages to MTN users telling them that some amount of money had been inadvertently posted on their mobile money accounts and were looking for a way of retrieving it.
The suspects are being held at the RIB station in Runda as investigations get underway.
