Cyanzayire was referring to emerging cases in which public officials are reportedly abandoning their homes to live with concubines.
She also said there are other cases in which some public officials have fathered children with mistresses and have refused to take responsibility as fathers.
Some have denied any responsibility and requested for DNA examinations.
It’s also reported that there are some cases where wives of these public officials have reported incidences where their partners have left their matrimonial homes to live with concubines and that this has resulted in divorces.
Cyanzayire also explained that there are cases where children are demanding recognition from such public officials as their biological fathers.
The Chief Ombudsman says the constitutional provisions on the codes of conduct of people holding public offices should be repealed and readjusted to suit the prevailing situation.
