Rwanda Ministry of Disaster Management and Refugee Affairs has said in a period not exceeding two months, 12 people have been killed by lightening and 37 others hospitalized due to accruing injuries.
The Ministry revealed that currently there is an ongoing study about how to deal with thunder strikes. The study is being conducted by the Ministry of Education.
Citizens have been urged to use lightning rods as the Ministry finds a long term solution to the problem.
