4 Arrested in Anti Narcotics Operation

Police has arrested four suspects in a countrywide anti narcotics crackdown.

Vianney Habimana 31 was seized at Gisesero cell, Busogo sector, Musanze district with 1,574 pellets of cannabis.

Abdu Uwamurengeye 42, was found in posession with 14 pellets of cannabis in Nyarugunga sector, Kicukiro District.

Also Emmanuel Hakizimana 15, and Godfrey Ahorushakiye 49, were arrested in Rulindo and Ngoma districts respectively found in possession with 6 and 49 litres of illicit liquor commonly known as Kanyanga respectively.

Supt, Francis Gahima the Northern Region Police Spokesperson, said, ” they laid strategies to combat the illegal business, especially through “cutting of the supply chain.”
