Heavy Rains on Tuesday evening wiped out a family of four members when the house they were sleeping in collapsed onto them killing them instantly.
The same rains killed more 11 people and destroying several valuable property.
The deceased include: Irene Mukeshimana 31(mother) and her three children, Yves Ndayisenga 9, Yvonne Isingizwe 5 and Emelyse 18 months old.
Neighbours say they discovered the death at around 8.00 pm after the heavy rain which lasted over three hours.
Nathan Kanyesigye, the Executive Secretary of Gikondo sector said ,“It the main cause was poor infrastructure. The fence was weak. The house of the deceased’s failed to withstand the impact of the wall and the force of approaching water.”
