According to Police investigations, the victim was lured in a neighbor’s bar and made drunk by the suspect (Ndayisaba) before taking her to one of the rooms where he is believed to have defiled her.
Police was made aware of the incident when one of the bar attendants who had suspected the criminal act quickly notified law enforcers who in a few minutes took Ndayisaba in custody.
He was taken to Nyamabuye Police Station where he is currently detained while the victim is receiving medical attention at Kabgayi Hospital.
Ndayisaba (the suspect) admits sharing a bottle of beer with this young girl but denies any accusations of defiling her.
The Southern Region Police Spokesperson, Superintendent Hubert Gashagaza, condemned the criminal act describing the culprit’s action as inhuman.
“His action is unspeakable; such criminals don’t deserve to be part of our society.”
