The group was led by RDB’s CEO Clare Akamanzi, Chief Operations Officer Emmanuel Hategeka and Chief Finance Officer Mark Nkurunziza.
The move which was in line with the international customer service week celebration, was under the theme ‘’Excellence happens here’’.
“This week is international customer service week which happens every year, we take a week to celebrate, our customers not just in Rwanda but it’s all over the world it’s a week that we adopted as a country. So why we have come here as the management of RDB to serve our customers is to demonstrate that we care very much about our customers.” Akamanzi says.
Akamanzi added that the move was done so to remind the staff within RDB and others, that all was about serving the public and providing it with the best.
“We are here to serve and as the CEO and executive management of RDB we are serving Rwandans, investors who are coming from all over the world, reminding the staff within RDB, ourselves and the public that it is about service and that is what we are doing and to show that it is really important to serve our customers and to give them good service.’’ Akamanzi says.
Part of the customers present was Ingabire Marie Grace and Nyamitovu Annociathe from Musanze who had come to RDB offices in quest to change their old business status and register a new company. “The official in charge guided me and explained the procedures along with the required documents to effect this exercise and I was happy. They have really helped us to satisfaction, we didn’t have to wait for long. I was welcomed very well’’ Ingabire says.
RDB also conducted a panel discussion with business owners and service providers from the hospitality industry in a bid to reflect on ways to keep improving service delivery in the hospitality sector in Rwanda.
