The move was announced yesterday in an extra-ordinary club general meeting that was held in Kigali.
In the meeting that was chaired by the team President Paul Muvunyi, Ivan Minnaert was announced the coach of team’s Academy.
The development follows different problems that have been facing the the team. As part of the solutions, the team had, a fortnight ago, suspended the head coach, Minnaert and assistants Jeannnot Witakenge and Lomami Marcel.
In the meeting that was attended by Rayon Sports Executive Committee and heads of thirty fan clubs, Minnaert was announced the Rayon Sports Academy coach.
The meeting was aimed at discussing the future of the club.
A confidential source from the meeting told IGIHE that Rayon Sports will soon have a new coach from Brazil.
However, the names of the incoming coach were not revealed.
After assessing the challenges in the team which also affected the results in this year tournament, President Muvunyi announced that keeper Bakame was sacked for betraying the team, a source said.
