Rwandan policeman killed in the Central Africa Republic

One Police officer who was part of the Rwandan peacekeeping contingent in the Central African Republic has been shot dead, the National Police announced Tuesday evening in a statement.

Serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), the deceased, identified as Supt. Emmanuel Musabe reportedly shot and killed himself on August 3 at about mid-day., while serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

According to a statement by RNP, MINUSCA and concerned institutions in the Central African Republic have commenced joint investigations to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident, and to ensure that appropriate action is taken.

β€œThe family and next of kin have been informed accordingly.” The statement read.
