The Rwandan beach volleyball pair of Charlotte Nzayisenga and Denise Mutatsimpundu lost their first pool match to U.S in the on-going 2017 World Beach Volleyball Championship games in Austria.
Rwanda which is placed in the tough group lost by 2-0 sets to U.S. In the first game. In the first set, they lost (21-10) and in the second (21-11), and the pair who made their debut in world games went to lose the second match by 2-0 sets to a strong Brazilian side.
The pair of Nzayisenga and Mutatsimpundu have one point, Brazil duo of Maria Antonelli/Carol top the pool with four points after winning two games.
They are tied on points with Sara Hughes/Kelly Claes of USA and Canada’s Pischke/Broder are placed third in the pool with two points after playing two games and not winning any.
On Monday, Rwanda takes on Taylor Pischkena/ Jamie Lynn Broder of Canada in their last game, only one team qualifies to the next round of the 2017 World Championship.
