Two inmates escape from Gasabo prison

{Two male inmates form Gasabo prison escaped on Christmas day and efforts to look about for their whereabouts have been intensified, according to information from Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS). }

“It is true that two inmates escaped from Gasabo prison. They may have escaped on Christmas day because we had authorized visitors at the time. About 2000 people visited inmates on Christmas,” the spokesperson of RCS, CIP Hillary Sengabo has told IGIHE.

“We have not yet identified names of the escaped inmates but statistics show that two inmates are missing in Gasabo prison,” he added.

Sengabo said that the hunt for the escapees is on.
