{The Minister in the Office of the Presidency, Venantia Tugireyezu has said that the resolutions of 2015 national dialogue were executed over to over 70% though four resolutions were not fully implemented to desired extents. }
The previous 13th National Dialogue was held from 21st to 22nd December 2015 in Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village, Camp Kigali. It was concluded with 13 resolutions.
During a talk-show at RBA, Minister Tugireyezu said that the incomplete resolutions include; combating Malaria, maintaining achievements of Gacaca courts and strengthening preservation of evidence of the 1994 genocide against Tutsi, following up programs meant for citizens’ development and reconstruction of some roads.
Commenting on the resolution of Gacaca courts she said; “All files of Gacaca were collected and archived which is good. As a country, we want to embrace rapid use of technology. It was decided that Gacaca files would be digitized. There is a step made but a lot remains to be done. That is why if we say that only 37% were kept electronically, it is understandable that the journey is still long. ”
The other resolution was about strengthening follow up and improving government’s programs of self reliance like Girinka Munyarwanda, community work among others enhancing the development of citizens. Commenting on them Tugireyezu said Girinka program was executed below 70% and that no resolution was executed below 50%.
Despite the distribution of mosquito nets and insecticides malaria prevalence was reported to have increased.
