The reaction follows circulated news that a Rwandan soldier died during the fight between soldiers supporting vice president Rieck Machar against president of Sudan Salva Kiir.
The fight which resumed on 7th July, 2016 puts on risk civilians lives that are getting protected by UN peacekeepers under United Nations Mission in South Sudan –UNMISS.
It was yesterday reported that a Chinese soldier died while Rwandan soldiers were injured as bullets were fired at t base of UN peacekeepers in South Sudan.
The deputy spokesperson of RDF, Lt Col René Ngendahimana has confirmed that two Rwandan soldiers were injured.
“Two RDF soldiers were slightly injured and are getting medical assistance.No Rwandan soldier was killed,” he said.
The attack was largely blamed by the UN Security Council.
Rwanda has 1845 soldiers in South Sudan peacekeeping mission.
