{On July 8th, 2016, Rwanda’s Ambassador to the Central African Republic, resident in Congo-Brazzaville, H.E. Ambassador Jean Baptiste Habyalimana presented his letters of credence to the president of Central African Republic, Faustin Archange Touadéra at the Presidential Palace in Bangui.}
As he presented the credential letter, Ambassador Habyalimana delivered warm fraternal greetings and good wishes from President Paul Kagame.
The host President discussed with Ambassador Habyalimana about the issues relating to the promotion of cordial bilateral relations between Rwanda and CAR.
In his welcome remarks, President Faustin Archange Touadéra congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to CAR and expressed the belief that the upgrading of the Mission to Ambassadorial level would further bolster relations between the two friendly countries.
He also mentioned that the people of CAR are very thankful to Rwanda, for its great contribution in peace building in CAR.
In his response, Ambassador Habyalimana thanked H.E President Faustin Archange Touadera for his thoughtful comments on Rwanda and promised that during his tenure, he would strive to strengthen relations between the two countries in such areas as trade and investments among others.
H. E Jean Baptiste Habyalimana was accompanied to the presentation ceremony by second counselor, Mr Wilson Rwigamba .
