{Deadlines for disarming a rebel outfight fighting against the Rwanda government, Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR), have been turned into a dilly dallying game which has left the rebels go on rampage, destabilizing the region, the minister of foreign affairs Louse Mushikiwabo has said. }
The rag force that has been operating in forests of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is getting dismantled.
In a press briefing held yesterday, Minister Mushikiwabo said that there should be more action than talks f the rebel gangsters are to be decimated.
“I have explained for several times that people and countries are delaying action in eradicating FDLR. Some of these countries are in UN security council, countries in charge of peace and security across the World and our region which continue to play squalid political games,” she said.
“It is related to the aid these countries provided to FDLR during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. Some countries having taken part in genocide continue to stay close and playing political with FDLR,” she said.
Mushikiwabo said that eradicating FDLR is not only the task of DRC but requires the collaboration of many countries.
“Whether they have been separated or not they are bad people…We don’t perceive separation as a new thing or something which can change the way we perceive things,” she said adding that the government of Rwanda is ready to protect its people whatsoever.
