Runda sector officials say that the killer stabbed Karangwa early in the morning around 3:00 am.
One person who was nearby Runda petroleum station attests to have heard both men quarrelling until the suspect run after the Karangwa, caught and stabbed him dead.
Nyirandayisabye Christine, the executive secretary of Runda told IGIHE that the young man suspected to have killed Karangwa always walked with a knife.
“Citizens knowing him well said that the suspect is of bad manners since he always walked with a knife,” she said.
Nyirandayisabye explained that they have already taken him to police to be investigated for suspected murder. She further requested residents to avoid murderer and report disputes before worsening to the extent of murder.

said that everyone must respect other people’s rights and appealed on everyone to provide information aimed at counteracting crimes.
“This was premeditated murder. Failure to pay for the eggs happened during day and the murder during night,” he said.
The suspect of murder is detained at Runda police station. If found guilty of the crime of murder, he is bound to get a life sentence according to article 140 of Rwanda penal code.
