President Kagame for international science meet

{President Paul Kagame and his Senegalese counterpart, President Macky Sall are expected to hold talks in a forum seeking to promote science and technology.}

The forum known as Next Einstein Forum, NEF will be held in Senegal, Dakar from Tuesday March 8, 2016 to 10th March 2016.

The forum will be attended by more than 700 people from 80 countries including 54 African countries.52% of participants will be the youth.

Other delegates speaking during the talks include the minister of higher learning institutes and research in Maroc, Lacine Daoudi; the minister of higher institutes in Cameroon, Fame Ndongo;the Ethiopian minister of science and technology; Nigerian Minister in charge of science and technology, Ogbonnaya Onu.

There will also be talks from other leading institutions in sciences and science and technology experts.

The head of NEF, Thierry Zomahoun said that the forum will concentrate on Africa’s role in promoting technology.

“We will talk on the role of Africa in the promotion of science and technology, the role of women working in technology related fields and encountered challenges as well,” he said.

This bi- annual meeting is going to be held for the first time on the African continent.
