{Dr James Gatera, former CEO Bank of Kigali (BK) has resigned and his position been taken over by Dr Diane Karusisi who is awaiting approval from the National Bank of Rwanda.}
In a statement signed by the Marc Holtzman , BK Board Chairman and Company Secretary , Shivon Byamukama, BK has accepted Gatera’s resignation who has been at the helm of the bank since 2007.
“The board has accepted his resignation. The new CEO is awaiting confirmation with the National Bank of Rwanda,” reads part of the statement.
BK has appreciated Dr.James Gatera for a chain of achievements during his leadership which include various awards, bank of the year in 2015, increased branches from 10 to 74 branches by end of 2015 and listed on Rwanda Stock Exchange in 2011.
Dr Karusisi, who is the acting CEO is also the deputy chairperson Board of Governors.
