47 Senior Officers graduate at Rwanda Defense Force Command and Staff College

{The Minister of Defence,General James Kabarebe, on behalf of H.E The President of the Republic and Commander-In-Chief of Rwanda Defence Force, presided over the Graduation Ceremony of the third intake of Senior Command and Staff Course at RDF Command and Staff College, in Musanze on 5 June 2015. The 47 Senior Officers that successfully completed a one year course received Passed Staff Course (PSC) Symbol, certificates and awards. }

In his remarks, Gen James Kabarebe reminded the importance of training in the Military by quoting HE the President of the Republic and Commander- In-Chief of RDF, “Proper training builds on the soldiers ‘mental, moral and physical qualities, and without proper training even a large and seemingly powerful force may not have good results – proper training is a priority among priorities for any force to be effective and efficient”.

Minister Kabarebe urged the graduating Military and Police Senior Officers to use the acquired knowledge for national development and address today’s security complex challenges.
“ As you depart RDF Command and Staff College be prepared to be part of the solution to your nation’s social-economic-political problems; ready to win any war; to contribute to our development and ready to defend our freedom and dignity”, he said.

Brig General Charles Karamba, the RDF Command and Staff College Commandant underlined that the students had adhered to College expectations and objectives to the desired end state of producing officers with requisite analytical and communication skills as well as professional military knowledge in command and leadership at operational level.

Maj Simon Peter Oyoo, from Uganda Peoples Defence Force, the best Allied Student told the media that they leave the College with more confidence than ever. He attributed his success to team work and cooperation at the RDF Command and Staff College.

The overall best Student, Maj Deo Mutabazi from Rwanda Air Force noted that the course was very beneficial and prepared the Officers to perform any duty in Command or Staff functions. He said that all attributed his success to hard work and good time management.

RDF Command and Staff College was inaugurated three years ago to offer high-level military studies.The Senior Command and Staff Course 03 that graduated on 5 June, included Senior Officers from Rwanda Defence Force, Rwanda National Police and from Burundi, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
