Kabale: 4 arrested over Rwandan’s death

{KABALE-Four people have been arrested in the South-western district of Kabale in connection with the death of Innocent Mbonaruza, a Rwandan national.}

The suspects, Molly Tugumisirize, 35, Amos Ntamuhanga, 32, Ndayambajje Jamaria,18, and one unnamed minor are all residents of Rutare cell, Bigaga parish in Kabale district.

They are accused of killing Mbonaruza who was in Uganda to pick his 13-year-old son from his former wife, Molly Tugumisirize. Tugumisirize is now married to Amos Ntamuhanga.

It is alleged that on April 30, the deceased visited his former wife’s home to pick his son. He, however, was not allowed to take him. He was promised he would get the boy within a few days. Mbonaruza was later found dead on the night of May 2.

Molly Tugumisirize, the deceased’s former wife, and Amos Ntamuhanga, her current husband, have been arrested on suspicion of masterminding the murder.

They were arrested with two others who had earlier been seen in Mbonaruza’s company.

Kigezi regional police spokesman Elly Maate said the deceased’s body was handed over to his relatives in Rwanda. The suspects were being held at Kabale Central police station pending prosecution.
