Man Feeds Dog Meat to community in Bugesera

{Residents in Bugesera have arrested a man whom they accused to feed them dog meat.}

The Man said after finding his dog died, he decided to cook it for food and later shared it with neighbors.

The accused is known to have many dogs in Bugesera.

Residents who have eaten that meal were frustrated by the man who served them a dog without their approval.

Although they accused him of an evil doing which they say is against their cultural beliefs, a local leader has said that no law that punishes such deeds.

A local news site reported that in 2012, community mediators “Abunzi” requested five residents to pay Rwf 1 million after they were found guilty of eating two dogs and one goat belonging to a man called Gatera. However the case is still in Appeal chamber of Gasabo Court.
