President Paul Kagame has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya for Heads of State Summit on the Northern Corridor Integration projects.
The one-day summit takes place in the Kenyan capital December 11, 2014.
The Northern corridor that centres on transport issues is intended to link the land locked countries of Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and Burundi to Kenya’s Indian Ocean Port of Mombasa.
The corridor arrangements also serve the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and northern Tanzania.
The last Northern Corridor Integration Projects Summit was held in Uganda and was marked by the launch of the Malaba to Kampala standard gauge railway. The railway is set to connect South Sudan, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
