{On 19 November, 2014 the Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi received the United Kingdom High Commissioner to Rwanda William John Gelling. Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Government of the United Kingdom for the support it provides to Rwanda in the sectors of education, agriculture, health and private sector development.}
“The Government of Rwanda is grateful for the good cooperation between Rwanda and United Kingdom, you are our good partners and we are committed to keep our cooperation by using your support effectively for the development of our citizens”. Said the Premier.
Prime Minister Murekezi pointed out that infrastructures (energy), agriculture, mining, education (TVET), and health are the chosen country’s priorities to enable the country’s quick development.
The UK High commissioner William John Gelling said that his Government appreciates how Rwanda uses the support that his country provides.
He added that due to the security, stability and business promotion in Rwanda, two companies from the United Kingdom are looking to invest in insurance and in aircraft machinery.
The United Kingdom is among Donors that provided aid for reconstruction of Rwanda after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
