A contingent of 140 Police officers under Formed Police Unit (FPU) departed to Mali for a one year peacekeeping operation under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (Minusma).
At the Kigali International Air port the DIGP in charge of Administration and Personnel Juvenal MARIZAMUNDA and other Senior Police Officers presided over the departure and they wished them a safely journey.
The contingent will replace the same number of officers under FPU1 headed by Chief Superintendent Bertin Mutezintare who will land at Kigali International Airport at around 17: 35 pm this evening.
