{Eight Heads of State have confirmed that they will attend President Michael Sata’s burial scheduled for November 11, 2014.}
Foreign affairs minister Harry Kalabo named the eight as Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe, DRC’s Joseph Kabila, Hifikepunya Pohamba of Namibia and Kenya s Uhuru Kinyata.
Others are Uganda’ s Yoweri Museveni, Rwanda’s Paul Kagame, the head of state of Mozambique and Malawi’s Peter Wamutarika, while Tanzania will be represented by vice president Ali muhammad Ghaib Bilal.
United Kingdom will be represented by the Countess of Wessex, South African will be represented by first lady Mrs Zuma, while the African union will be represented by the chairperson of the AU commission Nkosazana Zuma.
China, Japan and USA will send delegations, while Australia, Seychelles and Sri Lanka will send ambassador.
And Chief Madzimawe of the NGONI people has called for co-existance and unity in the governing Patriotic Front-PF party.
The traditional leader says the Ngoni people will stand with all Zambians during the period of grieving and beyond.
Chief Madzimawe said this in a statement released to ZNBC news in Lusaka.
He says he has joined the rest of the country in mourning the Head of State whom he referred to as a beloved President.
Meanwhile, Six District Commissioners from Northern Province have paid tribute to President Sata for his contribution in uplifting the lives of people in rural Zambia.
Mbala District Commissioner, Best Kabulembe has described President Sata as a man of action.
Mr. Kabulembe, who has travelled to Lusaka for President Sata’s funeral with five other colleagues, says the District Commissioners in Northern province are deeply saddened by the death of Mr. Sata.
He also conveyed condolences to the First Lady, Christine Kaseba and the first family.
Mr. Kabulembe was speaking on behalf of District Commissioners from Nsama, Mpulungu, Chilubi, Mporokoso, Kaputa and Mungwi.
