{{Geneva }} – {The first edition of The Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum (SIGEF 2014) was launched this Wednesday 22nd October 2014, and for three days universal audience from international organizations (NGOs, Foundations, Media and Associations) and Keynote Speakers that promote and support social good, solidarity, constructive technologies and ethics in all disciplines and fields will discuss how to build a better future through bringing on the table constructive and innovative tools.}
SIGEF 2014 is gathering more than fifty organizations from all over the world that are promoting Social Good together with thirty keynote speakers, in six plenary sessions, discussing major social challenges modern people are facing.
Eight workshops will bring together the general public, academics, professionals, students and media to reflect further on key subject areas. More than twenty social entrepreneurs will present their socially innovative projects for which two awards will be granted.
The opening session consisting of four main speakers – Sou Fujimoto, Didier Hamon, GorkaEspiau and Christian Prunier – featured a theme on “Smart Cities” which focused on various sustainable activities that can be done in order to build cities of the future using green technology and innovative techniques.
Mr. Prunier, CEO, Services Industriels de Genève presented on “Clean Energy: The Propeller of the Cities of the Future” were he showcased projects that his company is undertaking throughout Switzerland that focus on providing green energy solutions and the resultant significant impact on the country.

Sou Fujimoto, 43, a Japanese contemporary architect, highlighted different futuristic and innovative construction projects he’s running from Asia to Europe – he designs some of the most amazing and unusual buildings, and one of famous work he highlighted at SIGEF 2014 is “L’arbre Blanc”, a 17 storey building located in Montpellier that will be inaugurated in 2017.
The impact of a socially oriented communication for global interactions was discussed during a panel shared by Richard Stallman, President at Free Software Foundation who believes in free software sharing and doesn’t own a mobile phone for fear of being spied by the NSA.
Yonathan Parienti, the CEO at Horyou, a social network for Social Good some calls “The Facebook of NGOs”, made a presentation on the essence of Horyou’s creation; sharing information and easing exchanges to find solutions to problems.
SIGEF 2014 will also feature the “People of the World” art exhibition. The collection of photographs, portraying human diversity across history, includes: Tony Cece, Dominique Darbois, Félix Nadar, MyriamAbdelaziz, Armin Pflanz, Guillaume Megevand, Edward Curtis, and Rankin.
The SIGEF 2014 Founding Partners include ADEX Holding Group, Pencil Line Agency, MSQ Group, Horyou Foundation, and International Conferences Centre of Geneva (CICG).
