Kizito requests to be separated from his co-accused

{Kizitito Mihigo, during the trial on Friday, asked the court to be separated from his co-defendants because, he claims, they delay the date of the trial. }

The accused are Cassien Ntamuhanga, Jean Paul Dukuzumuremyi, Agnes Niyibizi and Kizito Mihigo.

They are accused of a litany of charges including treason and the creation of a criminal gang.

On Friday Kizito made the motion to the court after his co-defendants have asked the court to postpone to a later trial session of their cases arguing that they are not ready for the trial.

Some showed they had not lawyers to defend them, while others had not yet studied their records. Meanwhile, Kizito admitted ready for trial.

Unfortunately, his request was rejected by the Court saying that Kizito could not be tried alone because their case was linked.

The trial was adjourned to November 6.
