Akazi Kanoze Project Provides Youth with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to succeed as job seekers or Job creators through relevant connection to life and work readiness training.

Speaking to IGIHE the Director of Akazi Kanoze Melanie Sany, said they are aware of the problem and currently doing their best to address it.
She said the Government of Rwanda and other institutions are putting in their efforts to compliment what Akazi Kanoze is doing.
“In English we have a Basic English language Course but it is not enough. We have focused first on the hospitality sector because Hotels really wanted English and then we realize that even in construction and other they really want to have English, but we didn’t have enough funding.” Sany said.
“We are trying also to work with other youth for them to be able to start their own business in offering training in English as well. But it is still not enough. We preferred to work with Government and other organizations to more directly put English to the TVT (Technical and Vocational Training) system.” She concluded.
More than 18,000 Rwandan Youth graduated from Akazi Kanoze. They were trained in different technical and vocational courses. More than 90% of Akazi Kanoze graduates have landed their jobs while others are entrepreneurs on their own.
It is expected that within Two years ahead other 20,000 Rwandan Youth will benefit from Akazi Kanoze Training and a big number of them will come from rural areas.
