Eugene Nshimiyumukiza and Richard Ahorukomeye were arrested red-handed with the goods after CCTV cameras caught them in the act.
Nshimiyimukiza had stolen two internet wireless cards worth while Ahorukomeye stole Samsung S3 phones.
Assistant Inspector of Police Aimable Nsengiyumva, who works at the CCTV control room at the expo said it’s easy to detect any illegal act.
“We can, by means of these facilities, monitor all the movements on the ground at the exhibition .We have managed to arrest two suspected thieves and recovered the things they had stolen and handed them to owners,” AIP Nsengiyumva said.
The victims was at the time not aware that their goods had been stolen.
“I didn’t know that my cards had been stolen until Police informed me and handed to me my recovered goods. I am really happy for the good work they did,” one of the victims said.
