{As the third phase of the Hanga Umurimo program was ending on November 15, 2013 in Gasabo District, about 144 young entrepreneurs have demonstrated their innovative projects to be funded by local commercial banks in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry which designed the program.

This phase was preceded by 5-day training where participants learn how to design the ‘Business plans for their projects.
Among the ‘business plans designed for this phase, there was the manufacture of candles among others.
“Without doubt, the program of ”Hanga Umurimo ‘ will improve the lives of Rwandan citizens ,’ said Willy Ndizeye , Mayor of Gasabo District, who was delivering his speech at the end of the seminar stating that 144 of 150 businessmen participated in the planned training.
“They will benefit from the bank guarantee of 75% that will be provided by the Business Development Fund (BDF)”
To date, 250 businessmen called ‘ Rwiyemezamirimo ‘ submitted their projects for bank financing. The Program of Hanga Umurimo which only began in late 2012 has already distributed a budget of 3.6 billion francs of credit throughout the country.
