90 FDLR ex-combatants and their dependents relocated to Kisangani

{About 90 ex-combatants of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) and their dependents left Wednesday Kanyabayonga in North Kivu to the transit center in Kisangani, before their repatriation to their country of origin, Xinhua quoted a UN source.}

“The group consists of 28 ex-combatants and 62 dependents. According to sources close to MONUSCO, 73 of them went aboard five vehicles of the UN Mission. 17 others, pregnant women, the sick and children traveled by MONUSCO helicopter. They left Kanyabayonga around 10 AM, “the source said.

In early July, the Economic Community of Southern African countries and the International Conference for the Great Lakes Region had granted a period of six months for FDLR to disarm. Beyond this limit, tracking down these rebels should start.
