65 Police Officers Complete ‘Instruction’ Course

{{The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Operations Dan Munyuza, on July 25 presided over the closing of the eight-week Instructional Technology Course (ITC) and Method of Instruction (MOI) courses at the Police Training School (PTS) in Gishari, Rwamagana District.}}

Thirty two officers completed the ITC while others completed the MOI course. The officers will act as instructors in various Police trainings.

The course was designed to develop holistic training management capacity and equip officers with the knowledge, skills and techniques to effectively under take challenges in training process.

DIGP Munyuza said the two courses were initiated to “create professional trainers who will provide quality training in Rwanda National Police training institution.”

“The two courses are in line with improving critical functional skills & techniques required to manage diverse activities,” he said.

He said Rwanda National Police considers training as a vital tool in fulfilling the force’s mandate and countering modern policing challenges effectively.

573 complete ‘Unit Training’

DIGP also presided over the pass-out of 573 other officers who completed the two-month first intake of ‘Unit Training.’

The officers, among others, acquired skills in leadership, command and management.
