{{Three Rwandan students arrested in India last week for allegedly misbehaving with a girl in Jalandhar in the northwest Indian state of Punjab were released on bail late Saturday evening.}}
Rwanda’s High Commissioner to India, Williams Nkurunziza told media that the three students were released yesterday on a total bail of about US$1,200.
Those students are expected to appear in court on January, 17, 2013, to answer charges against them.
The students argue that claims against them are not truthful.
The three Rwandan students who were arrested are from a private university in India.
They were arrested after locals caught them misbehaving with a girl in market area.
The locals caught the three students and called the police.
Ironically, this took place one month after a Rwandan woman was allegedly gang raped in the Indian capital.
The 24-year-old Rwandan woman was allegedly gang raped by five men in Delhi on Dec. 3, reports said.
However other news released the day after said the woman who was gang raped was not a Rwandan.
