{Thirty Police officers stationed at the headquarters of Rwanda National Police (RNP) received training in customer care and public relations in a bid to improve their ability to provide quality service delivery. }
The three-day training which started on January 19 was officially opened by Commissioner for Recruitment and Training, CSP Safari Uwimana at the Kacyiru headquarters, while the training sessions are conducted by experts from the Workforce Development Authority (WDA).
“This training will improve your ability to deliver quality services to the people living in Rwanda, as well as increase your knowledge and skills about the operations that you conduct daily,” she CSP Uwimana said in her address to the officers.
“Police endeavors to improve everyday and it is in this capacity that this training is being conducted as we move towards achieving our mission of delivering the best services in a professional and accountable manner.”
By continuously training its officers in various fields, RNP steps closer to its vision aimed at making the people living in Rwanda feel safe, involved and reassured.
Other than partnering with other institutions such as WDA, Police has three schools; The National Police College in Musanze, the Police Training School in Gishari and the Counter Terror Training Centre in Mayange, which have had a big role in professionalizing the force in a very short period of time.
It is through such initiatives that Police equips officers with relevant skills to help it in its priority to deliver high quality services, accountability and transparency, in a bid to safeguard the rule of law and provide a safe and crime free environment for all.
