Indian police have arrested three Rwandan students for allegedly misbehaving with a girl in Jalandhar in the northwest Indian state of Punjab, local press reported Thursday.
“The three Rwandan students of a private university were arrested after locals caught them misbehaving with a girl in market area,” Assistant Commissioner of Police Dalvir Singh was quoted by Press Trust of India as saying.
The locals caught the three students and called the police.
Ironically, this took place one month after a Rwandan woman was allegedly gang raped in the Indian capital.
The 24-year-old Rwandan woman was allegedly gang raped by five men in Delhi on Dec. 3, reports said.
