{The extraordinary cabinet meeting that convened yesterday in Village Urugwiro presided over by President Paul Kagame has authorized retirement for 146 Officers of Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and discharged 5 officers of Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) on medical ground.}
IGIHE has learnt that some of retired senior officers have attained the retirement age.
They include; Lt. Gen. Caezar Kayizari, who is Rwanda’s ambassador in Turkey, Maj Gen Paul Rwarakabije, former boss of Rwanda Correctional Service, Brig. Gen George Rwigamba, current boss of RCS and Maj Gen Frank Mugambage who is Rwanda’s ambassador to Uganda.
Maj Kalibata Anaclet, head of Emigration & Immigration department in Rwanda and Maj General Sam Kaka, the commissioner in human rights commission are said to be among other retired senior officers.
IGIHE has also learnt that retirees at Lt Colonel and Colonel ranks are 24.
