Zambia to host 10 African leaders

{ZAMBIA is in May this year scheduled to host 10 African leaders for a meeting to discuss reforms of the United Nations (UN) Security Council.}

Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba said in an interview that the 10 heads of State have been chosen to spearhead reforms of the UN Security Council by the African Union (AU).

Mr Kalaba said Zambia was selected to host the meeting at the just ended AU heads of State in Ethiopia.

He said the reforms are expected to culminate in a permanent seat for Africa on the influential UN Security Council which has the power to veto decisions passed by the UN Assembly.
