Kenya is keen on forming partnerships in ICT, agriculture, energy, financial services and manufacturing, President Uhuru Kenyatta has said.
Uhuru pointed out that though the country has the best Internet connectivity in Africa, more can be done based on other countries’ experiences.
“There is potential for partnerships in energy, especially because Kenya has perhaps half of Africa’s potential geothermal power,” he said.
He made the remarks in a video address to the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles, California in the United States from Sagana State Lodge.
The president missed the forum after his plane made an about turn after Eritrean allegedly threatened to shoot dow the plane.
Citing the expansion of the Mombasa port and the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway and the Lamu port, he noted that Kenya has made substantial investments in infrastructure.
