U.S. Warns Kiir, Machar: “Enough is Enough”

{The United States of America has asked South Sudan President Salva Kiir and the rebel movement, SPLA- In Opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar to agree to a peaceful resolution of their grievances by signing a peace agreement today or return home and fight.}

In a strong statement signed by the Secretary of State, John Kerry, US warned that time has run out for the two have been “dillydallying” since late 2013 when war broke out in the oil-rich nation, leaving a trail of destruction and bloodshed.

“The warring parties in South Sudan must seize the current and final round of negotiations to deliver a sustainable peace. We are well past the point where enough is enough,” charged Kerry who has previously used a soft tone to persuade Kiir and Machar to end the suffering and destitution in South Sudan.

“Leaders must put the interests of their people above their own. The violence must end. A negotiated conclusion to this conflict is required now,” reads part of the statement released on Tuesday morning.

This website today morning broke the news of two principals of the conflict, Kiir and Machar meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to resolve their difference before the expiry of the negotiations’ timeframe which ends on March 5.
