{The South African Weather Service has warned that extreme thundershowers could be expected over the eastern parts of the North West, the Free State and the eastern parts of the Northern Cape.}
While extremely high fire dangers persist in the interior of the Northern Cape, the western parts of the Free State, West Coast Districtt, Cape Metropole, Cape Winelands, and Central Karoo of the Western Cape.
Temperatures will reach the late 20s to mid 30s for most parts of the country, with Pretoria in Gauteng reaching a high of 31°C and the Northern Cape’s Upington expecting 39°C, Worcester 35°C and Oudtshoorn at 36°C.
Western Cape regions will soar at 32°C in Cape Town, ER24 has warned outdoor enthusiasts to be cautious in these conditions, urging the public to remember that heat exhaustion can lead to serious complications. Severe heat exhaustion could lead to heat stroke and that may in turn result in a person losing consciousness, experiencing seizures or going into cardiac arrest.
