SANDF soldier killed in DRC laid to rest

{The 28-year-old South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldier Moalosi “Bushi” Mokhothu who died in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been laid to rest in Botshabelo, east of Bloemfontein.}

Mokhothu was killed during a skirmish with rebels in the DRC on December 19, 2016.

It was a sad moment for friends, family members and colleagues. Many described him as a humble, dedicated and loving soul.

“I am going to remember Bushi because of his calmness and he was always energetic and he was striving for his goal to be a soldier and he knew he would be a soldier and protect his country,” his cousin Nthabiseng Mokhothu said.

The family is finding it hard to come to terms with his passing.
