ANNOUNCEMENT
Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) would like to inform the public in
general, employers and employees in particular, that a new law No
05/2015 governing the organisation of Pension Schemes in Rwanda was
enacted on 30th March 2015.
RSSB hereby informs employers that as per the article 10 of this law “The
declaration of pension contributions to the mandatory Pension scheme
shall be done on a monthly basis”.
Article 11 of the same law states ‘The employer shall send to the public
entity in charge of Pension scheme collected contributions not later than
the 15th day of the month following the month to which such
contributions relate”.
In light of the above, RSSB is pleased to bring to the attention of all
concerned parties, that the implementation of the above mentioned
articles shall take effect with the declaration and remittance of
contributions for the month of July 2015, which means that the
declaration and payment of contributions for quarter 2 (April, May and
June) shall be done as usual (Not later than 31 July 2015) given that the
new law was officially gazetted already during the 2nd quarter 2015. The
remittance and declarations for the month of July 2015 will be done not
later than August 15th, 2015.
