Malawi Police is searching for a 52-year-old man in connection with chopping off his wifes fingers accusing her of having an extra marital affair with another man.
Police in the country’s Southern district of Balaka identified the suspect as William Duwa saying he cut the fingers of his wife using a Machette.
It’s alleged that on Monday, Duwa returned home from a Bar quite drunk and started accusing his wife of sleeping with other men.
The Victim Chrissy Kunkeyani 49, is currently admitted at Balaka District Hospital where she is receiving treatment while Duwa is still at large.
Kunkeyani told Police that her husband went out to a drinking spree and upon arrival at home, he started accusing her of having an extra marital affair before he started beating her. He later chopped off her two fingers.
The two have been married for 35years and have 5 children together.
