{PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete on Tuesday held private discussions with retired US President Bill Clinton on various development projects.}
A statement issued in Dar es Salaam by the Directorate of Presidential Communication said that during their talks they discussed projects funded by the Clinton Development Initiative and Clinton Health Access Initiative.
The discussion dwelt more on how the foundation can extend services to other health areas on HIV/AIDS, malaria control and reducing child and maternal deaths, agriculture, particularly on soya farming and seeds generation.
In a separate development, President Kikwete on Tuesday crossed the Kigamboni Sea Bridge for the first time when he was on his way to inaugurate new naval ships.
The presidential entourage crossed over through a temporary bridge used by Chinese contractors undertaking the project which, upon completion, will be one of its kind in the country.
