Kenyatta held bilateral talks with President Nguema of Equatorial Guinea.

{President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday held bilateral talks with President Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea.}

President Kenyatta who is in Malabo attending the awards ceremony for the 2014 UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea international prize for research in the life sciences commended his host for initiating a noble endeavor aimed at finding solutions to mankind.

He thanked President Nguema for strongly supporting Kenya at the African Union summit.

President Kenyatta expressed his gratitude to President Nguema for his laudable efforts adding African countries need to work together and generate African solutions to African problems.

He said the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences is a noble endeavor which will strengthen and positively impact on the South-South cooperation.

The President said Kenya will continue working closely with the Equatorial Guinea so as to ensure more interaction between the people of the two countries.

President Kenyatta invited his host to make a State visit to Kenya at a time to be agreed between their Governments.

The talks were also attended by the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Amb. Amina Mohammed.
