Four men have been charged with forging a letter and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s signature to con Hot Point Appliances Limited boss Shailesh Kanani on December 21 last year.
Mr Reuben Wasike Situma, Mr Ismail Ibrahim, Mr Keith Lee Henney Bockle and Mr Stephen Kimani presented the letter to Mr Kanani claiming the President’s private secretary Jomo Gecaga had written it inviting him to State House to offer his company a tender.
The accused demanded a Sh15 million bribe before the said State House appointment. They were released on Sh100,000 bond each.
The case will be heard on April 13.
